The Culver Crest Neighborhood Association will be hosting a City Council Candidates Forum at El Rincon Elementary School on Thursday, March 10 at 7pm. All seven candidates will be speaking. Bring your questions and be prepared to vote on April 12!
There will be an update by Lt. Agaiby, CCPD on the Council adopted policy dealing with Coyotes, and to adress the community on progress with traffic enforcement at our troubled intersections.
Thanks, Antoine. Below is the question I intend to ask tonight. Rich, do you or whoever is the Moderator (somehow I have not gotten the CCNA googlegroup emails lately) want to ask it? Or should I ask it from the floor? I do not have the candidates email addresses, so can you please forward this to them so each has time to reflect on implications of this question. Thank you. Keep up the good work. Suzanne
*My question: *The CCST state mandated heath study debunked the Inglewood Oil Field Health Study, concluding that the study was insufficient with many major limitations including confounding regional air samples with local exposure. ( page 217) It also states that Sonoma’s air quality testing at the Inglewood Oil Field is inconclusive in determining health risks. (page 223). The CCST mandates the Precautionary Principle until an adequate health study is done. (page 214)
*If you are elected will you support the demand that Freeport McMoran pays for an adequate, valid health study before being allowed to receive any permits in Culver City?*
