From Golden State Water’s Linda Cunningham:
Our trial Shutdown last week went as planned and we are now preparing for the actual Shutdown (Water Interruption) that will take place on May 11, 2017 from 9-4 pm. This Shutdown will tie in the new main in Cranks Road and Ranch Road and Ranch at Youngworth. The will be crews working in these locations and along the new water main area.
As part of the continuing effort to replace existing water mains with approximately 6,500 feet of new PVC pipe, Golden State Water will be performing a temporary service interruption in the water distribution system this Thursday, May 11 from 9am – 4 pm.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a new service interruption, following the previous service interruption on Friday, May 5. See Full Flyer here: Culver City CSA Scheduled Shutdown May 11 2017
Affected Culver Crest residents should receive a flyer on their doors shortly. During this shutdown, residents “may be temporarily inconvenienced by the presence of crews, construction equipment, road closures, or increased traffic.” Golden State is advising residents may also want to allow extra time for their commute.
According to Golden State Water, impacted streets will include:
- Ranch Road from 10713 Ranch Road to Cranks Road
- Cranks Road from Ranch Road to Hill Street
- Youngworth from Ranch Road to Flaxton
- Flaxton from Youngworth to Drakewood
- Drakewood from Flaxton to Ranch Road
- Lugo Way from Ranch Road to end of cul-de-sac
Golden State Water appreciates the community’s patience and has generously offered to provide bottled water during this shutdown. If you would like bottled water, please contact their local Customer Service office at (310) 838-1324, and Golden State crews will be happy to deliver it to your home.
Any additional questions regarding the project can be directed to Golden State Water’s 800 number: (800) 999-4033 or Project Coordinator Linda Cunningham at (562) 907-9200 x408.
